Set the task properties
The Team controls the status workflow. A Project is optional.
Capture before you organize
Create a Task from Today, the command palette, or a Task list. If you do not know where it belongs, leave it in Triage. You can move it to a Project or Program later without rewriting it. See Tasks for list controls. See Triage for filing unfiled work.Break down the work
Add subtasks when one Task needs several concrete steps. Docket shows the parent and child relationship in the Task detail and in Graph. Use parent and child relationships to describe decomposition. Use dependencies to describe order. A Task can block or be blocked by another Task in the same workspace. Docket rejects a dependency that would create a loop.Add context
Attach a file or link as a resource. You can also link an item from a connected provider when that connection supports it. The Task shows direct resources and related references without copying the source content into its description. Threaded comments keep the discussion with the Task. Type@ in a supported field to mention
another object.
