Docket’s current public REST compatibility contract is 0.1.0. It is prerelease, and Docket supports only this current contract.

Assert the contract

Omit Docket-Version to accept the current contract, or send the exact current version:
Docket rejects any other asserted version with 400 and unsupported_api_version. Do not send an older version and expect compatibility routing.

Read the response identity

Every public REST response includes: The path prefix /v1 identifies the REST resource. It does not substitute for a version assertion. The OpenAPI document describes the live current contract. The revision lets an operator tie an observed response to the deployed source without pretending it is another API version.

Compatibility policy

The contract uses semantic versioning. A breaking change advances the minor version during this 0.x prerelease period. An additive backward-compatible change advances the patch version. A published release note names what changed and any client action. There is no retained-version window, published SDK, or outbound webhook compatibility surface. Check API release notes before upgrading a pinned client.
