# Automations

> Run repeatable rules for task events and email suggestions, and keep each rule narrow enough to explain.

Open **Settings → Automations** to create rules for task events and email suggestions. Each rule
shows its trigger, conditions, and actions.

Keep a rule narrow enough that someone can explain why it ran from those three parts. Disable it
before changing a live workflow that depends on it.

Disabling a rule does not undo earlier changes. It only stops future runs.
